My projects
These are all the cool projects I worked with.
Mechanical cooker whistle counter
We made a mechanical whistle counter which produces a high-pitched noise when the set number of whistles are reached.
Gesture controlled bicycle indicator
Ignoring the traditional method of using your hands to indicate signals we built a gesture controlled glove which indicates directions.
Motion-detecting, gesture controlled security monitors
We built security cameras that detect motion and move accordingly. They are also controlled with gestures.
Selective frequency/noise cancelling headphones
We built selective noise cancelling headphones for people who have auditory sensory overload, this helps them with triggers in their day-to-day life.
Mechanical cooker whistle counter
We made this project as a part of the Smart India Hackathon 2024. Keeping track of pressure cooker whistles can be challenging, especially in noisy environments or when you are multitasking. To solve this, we designed a fully mechanical whistle counter that uses a spring loaded indexing mechanism that automatically tracks the number of whistles and produces a distinct high pitched noise once the set number of whistles is reached.

Gesture Controlled Bicycle Indicator
Traditional hand signals used by cyclists to indicate turns and stops often go unnoticed, especially during night-time or in poor visibility conditions.
To address this issue, this project is centered around a glove-mounted Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) that detects hand tilts to signal left and right turns. Additionally, a flex sensor is integrated to detect when the hand forms a fist, thereby activating the brake light.

Motion Detecting, Gesture-controlled security cameras
This project presents a gesture-controlled motion tracking system built using the ESP32 platform, aimed at enabling intelligent, responsive camera movement based on both object detection and user gestures. We used IMU, two Ultrasonic sensors and servo. The ultrasonic servers detect motion and rotate the servo, on top of which the ESP32 cam module is mounted. We use the IMU to detect the motion of the hand and rotate the servo accordingy
